Antalya, Turkey Cruise Port Guide

All of the right elements Riviera a major holiday resort: the beautiful crescent bay, dramatic cliffs and jagged mountains. Antalya is an attractive city with shady palm-lined boulevards and a prize-winning marina. In the picturesque old quarter, narrow streets and old wooden houses huddle against the ancient city walls.

The ship is scheduled to dock at the Port of Antalya, five miles from town. Taxis are usually available at the pier.

Shop in the old town for local handicrafts, including copper ware, carpets, leather, jewelry and textiles.

Kebabs, rice pilaf, dolmas (meat wrapped in vine leaves) and beurrek (pastry and cheese rolls) are typical local treats. Turkish coffee and local wines round out a meal nicely.

This structure was built in honor of the Roman Emperor Hadrian who visited Antalya in 130 A.D.

With its landmark clock tower, the square offers lovely views of the bay and the distant mountain peaks.

Chosen for its outstanding beauty, the par 72 golf course threads its way through magnificent Umbrella Pines, eucalyptus trees and areas of swampland. Views of the Mediterranean can be seen from the highest points on the course, completed in 2001.
