For a fantastic panorama of the city, take a cable car ride to the summit
of the 1,340-foot Mount Srdj .

Dalmatian Islands, handmade embroidery, woodcarvings, woolen and leather
items, carpets, filigree jewelry, ceramics, and tapestries.
Seafood is excellent, including scampi, a variety of fresh fish and
brodet (mixed fish stewed with rice), all cooked in olive oil and served
with vegetables or tartufe (mushrooms).
If not on tour, head for the Old Town and explore along the Placa and in
the side streets. The entrance is FROM the Pile Gate, and once inside
the city walls the Old Town has to be explored on foot. One of the
highlights includes a walk atop the city walls, offering great views
over the rooftops, hidden courtyards, and gardens.
